Greenville Alliance Women Ministries

Alliance Women Ministries is an auxiliary of the Christian and Missionary Alliance organized to promote fellowship, outreach and prayer among the women and encourage support and prayer for Alliance missionaries and worldwide ministries.

As Alliance Women, we agree with our founder, Dr. Albert B. Simpson, that we are “…to keep abreast of the progress of our age and be…women of today in our message and ministry to our own generation”.

Because the church exists to help people everywhere find and know Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, we expect that women’s ministries will be a functioning part of the local church in carrying out Christ’s Great Commission.

It is our goal to involve every woman attending an Alliance church in the ministries of Alliance Women.

The Greenville Alliance Women meet the first Tuesday evening of each month for a time of fellowship with a Missions emphasis. This meeting begins at 7 PM and we meet in the Fellowship Hall. Also, we meet each Tuesday morning (except for the first Tuesday morning) for a time of prayer for our missionaries and church family. This meeting begins at 9:30 AM for about an hour.

Our goals are….

Ø Fellowship -  develop new and deeper friendships

Ø Discipleship - discover ways to be equipped through God’s Word

Ø Outreach - find opportunities to share your faith

Ø Missions - pursue active global involvement.

Ø Prayer  - acquire encouragement and motivation in prayer

We have many service projects for you to participate in such as saving…

Ø    Campbell labels (for school equipment for our MK schools)

Ø    Used all-occasion cards (for use by missionaries in Latin America)

Ø    Used eyeglasses (for use in Dominican Republic)

Ø             Pill bottles (for use in hospital in Gabon)

Ø    Cancelled stamps (proceeds of the sale of used stamps go for Sunday
                        School literature in Latin America)

We also contribute to our Alliance Women  National Project – for the 2010-2011 year it is "On the Move".  Money from this project will enable us to partner with our Alliance workers overseas to help with projects in Creative Access Countries (CAC).
